Our weekend

We had a very busy, fun filled weekend.
Sunday Frank took Addison to the Blue Angel air show. They had a great time. There is my little pilot, ear plugs and all ready for take off. Between the rain on Saturday, and the four hour nap the babies took, while Addison and Frank were gone on Sunday, my sewing machine almost caught on fire. I got out this book....
Romantic Home Sewing, by Christina Strutt. I love it! It is full of patterns, from curtains, slipcovers, and, my favorit, these little guys...

one for Addison

one for Anna. They are loved very much.

a few falls bags. For Who? I can not say...

And, most exciting, my first clothing order! I have sold quite a few handbags, and done some special orders as well, but this is my first special order for children's clothing. I am so excited about it.

I made a pair of pants, using Amy Butler fabric, with a box pleat at the bottom.

And a matching smock. I got the pattern from a great blog that I read, called themayfly. Check it out if you get a chance. I love this smock...

It is reversible! I made the other side in linen. Who does not love linen?
So that is what I have been up to. No more sewing for a while is someones birthday this week! Addison will be four on Wednesday. Lots of cake decorating, present wrapping going on here!
We are off to the blackberry field behind our house, to pick the last few berries of the season. It has been our morning ritual for the past month, and I am sad to see it end.
Have a great Monday!
