I have had a craving for them lately, so I decided it would be a fun thing to make with the kids.
First, you "paint" the dough with butter ( we did both sides )
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. pecans
2 tsp cinnamon
I put half of this mixture on a baking sheet, and left the other half in the bowl.
Set the buttered pie crust in the baking sheet with the sugar mixture and sprinkled the top of the pie crust with the remaining mixture (this way, it gets on both sides of the crust)
Then, roll up the dough and cut it in little slices and put on a cookie sheet and bake for 15 minutes at 350.
After they have cooled, mix some powdered sugar with water until you get a glaze and drizzle on top.
Yummy!
Don't mind if I do.

Oh, those look good. That's a great way to get children involved. I will have to try these on the weekend. Thank you for the stocking pattern suggestion I actually found several that will work. I know at one point I had that issue but I recently recyled a bunch of magazines and that might have been one of them.
