Christmas gifts

This year for Christmas, most of the gifts we are giving are handmade, or flea market finds. This was my first Christmas purchase.
I got this in June. Frank was annoyed. I stepped into this fantastic flea market that is less than a mile from my house. We kind of live out in the boonies, so not many people frequent this flea market, including me, because I know I will not be welcome if I trample in there with three kiddos.
So anyway, a hot day in June, after having breakfast out, I told Frank I wanted to stop in to check it out.
"I won't buy anything, I promise"
Ten minutes later, I came out holding this, waving for him to pull the car around, so Anna wouldn't see it.
Oh, I can't wait to see her face. I made matching pillows, and an apron for her to wear while serving tea to her guests. I got the fabric from ebay. It was a patchwork table cloth, and the colors are perfect for her room.

This is my first attempt at a quilt. Something else for my sweet little lady. I used all freshcut fabric. There are a few puckers in the quilting, and I chickened out with the binding and did a ruffle instead.
I am impressed that I have waited this long to give it to her. I am counting down the days!

wow! the quilt is beautiful!!! I love that freshcut fabric. and I wouldn't say that a ruffle is necessarily chickening out. it looks wonderful.

How precious! I love the table and chairs. She will get alot of use from those. And you did a great job on the quilt. She will just love these. have to tell me where this flea market is. Is it open in the winter? The Goodwill in Auburn and Lewiston is my main source of "stuff" and I need to go to another source.

Email me!!!!!

There is no way I would have been able to wait that long to give a gift! You are a hero! And I have to totally agree. A ruffle is definitely not chickening out. For sure! It looks amazing.

That is adorable! We have a set like that but I am not crafty at all. I did staple new fabric on it to make cute seat cushions to match the room.

The quilt is so pretty! Quilting has been on my "want to do" list for a few years now! The little ice cream table and chairs is just cute. She'll love those so much. There's so much you can do with that!
