Last minute everything

For Christmas I received Last Minute patchwork gifts, and Last minute knitted gifts. I sat down the day after Christmas, hoping to make a nice list of all the things that I wanted to make. I soon gave up though, and decided I will probably be attempting everything at one point or another.
The birds on the cover of Patchwork gifts were actually at the bottom of my list. I had decided I would wait until next Christmas to make some as gifts. Then I thought I could make one to hang in each of the kids rooms, then I came up with this...
