I had these ideas in my head for a long time, and after learning how to sew in March, I was so excited to try them.
Our dining room chairs, repainted and recovered, complete with matching table runner.
A new duvet for our room, using Freshcut fabric...
Frank painted our bedroom....
We painted Anna's bed white, and then Frank painted her room the perfect shade of pink...
I made lots of new pillows for our couch and love seat...
So there it is. My favorite projects. I have so much help. Frank always recovers things for me, paints the big things (like the rooms) and I paint the small things.
He really is a trooper. When ever I get an idea for the house, he never says anything, I just see the dread in his eyes. Then, just when I think he is going to retire to his chair for the night he gets out his tools...
"Is this how you want it?"
"Yes, honey, thanks."

First of all, I was so very impressed with all of your work BEFORE I knew that you just learned to sew. I just mentioned your blog in a post on mine because I really just want to come and park myself on your beautifully slipcovered couch and absorb all of your spectacular creative energy. Could I do that...seriously? You are amazing and such an inspiration to a novice crafter!
Wow you made the slipcover for your sofa! You're amazing! Love the paint you used in your bedroom - can you email me the name? I'm going to paint my family room and I'm looking for something in that shade. Those are all great projects!

Wow!!! All amazing projects!!! If I had to pick a favorite, it might be the chair painted white, and recovered with a bedspread. So very nice!
