A Silly Spider

A dear friend of mine has a son that will be turning two on Valentine's day. I was trying to think of something I could make for him, so I pulled out some patterns and the kids picked out the Silly spider, from Amy Butler's Big Nap pillow pattern. I made the pillow for Jack's birthday, and had every intention of making him the spider too, but I didn't.

Of course I did not only make one for my friend's son, I had to make one for everybody. They are supposed to have boots, but once I took a look at that tiny tempelate and realised that I would have to cut 84 boots out and sew them together, I decided against it. I think I would rather poke at my eyes with a pencil. Ahem.

Besides, the spiders are loved very much. Even without the boots.

Oh dear Lord...84 boots?! I'd go nuts, too! They look cute barefoot! I might have to steal this idea...my niece is turning 5 in a few months and I think she'd adore a few of these spiders. They're really adorable!

You know, now that you mention it, I never made this cute spider after finishing the big nap pillow. I believe my goddaughter needs one of these. Too cute.
