Every Year

Today when I woke up I knew it was the day. The day that it would be 55 degrees before 9:00 a.m. The day more birds would be singing their spring tune. The day to buy my pansies. I do it every year.
See the the white stuff still in the backyard? This is the way we do it in Maine. There might be snow on the ground, but I was not the only one in the garden center this morning.
It seems easier to wake up early. The sun shines on us in a different way. I feel like I have been born again.
The screen door slammed a lot today. Music to my ears. The huge puddle in the front yard got a lot of action. I don't mind the extra laundry. We listened to the peepers tonight, with sun burned cheeks. Ah, we will sleep well.

Yellow pansies always mean srping - I'm glad your weather is warming up and you all are able to get outside. I'm enjoying ours here - 70's, some 60's and 58 right now. Hope you had fun at the garden center!!

How pretty pansies are, and I'm glad you got to buy them today. We've had nice weather for quite some time here and I've put out marigolds and petunias already in my front yard! Hope Spring continues to 'spring' :-)

Beautiful! I have the same flowers as well, a bit smaller. We don't have snow anymore but I hope it gets warmer soon as I love gardening!

I think those of us who endure difficult winters really appreciate spring more than the average Joe. Your pansies are lovely and such a symbol of new life and new beginnings!

Well I'm glad spring is finally coming to your neck of the woods! We're already pulling the pansies out to be replaced by petunias!
