Calling all knitters! I have a question. After I frogged my large
rectangle, I decided to use the yarn to make the kids Christmas sweaters. I am making the Shawl collar sweater from
Essential Baby. I started with Anna's first. This pattern is a K 2, P 2 rib, and the yarn is Patons chunky (wool and acrylic blend) I am using size 10 needles, and I feel like the rib is disappearing.

Should I keep going, or should I rip back and leave a few inches of ribbing, and knit in st stitch? I am wondering if the ribbing will come out more after blocking. Let me know what you all think.

I am also knitting the
Somewhat cowl sweater for myself. I am really excited about this one. So far, so good. This will be the first garment for me. I altered the neck line a few inches because I didn't want mine quite so low.

I have also been into really bright accessories lately. I decided to make myself some new spring jewelry, and I also made some for the
shop . I will be listing these, and some pendant necklaces this week.

Can't wait to hear your opinion on the knitting!

Unfortunately I'm too new at knitting to give you any kind of useful advice. I think it looks great so far. I love your new jewlry pieces!
I haven't a clue on the knitting - but I LOVE the jewelry. The knitting does look good to me though
I think post blocking the ribbing will look just fine. I wouldn't worry. I too have been thinking about knitting the Somewhat Cowl sweater, it seems very cute, I love the color you chose. And great jewels!
The jewelry is beautiful. I love it! I am also too new at knitting to have an opinion on what to do. It looks great to me, though!!
I'm only a new knitter too but I say keep going, I'm sure it will be just fine!! I love the green coloured yarn your using for your sweater..
Jodie ;)
Love that shade of green for the sweater! I can't wait to see it on you.
The new spring jewelry is cheerful and chic!
I think the sweater looks great! I am no expert knitter but I would say keep going.
I love the jewels! Nice work on all of it!
I would think the rib will show more after blocking. Keep going, it looks so sweet.
no knitting advice coming from me! I think the ribbing looks great, though.
This is how 2x2 ribbing behaves. It'll be more pronounced as it stretches on the wearer, and you can also block it out a bit. But basically, this is how it's supposed to look, don't worry!
Your jewelry is gorgeous.
Gorgeous jewelry!
I would keep going with the knitting. The rib will be more pronounced with blocking, and particularly when the sweater is worn.
i love love love the green somewhat cowl. it is perfect for spring and will look great on you!
I have no advice, but I love the sweater in the green!
