My Best Girl

I love sewing for Anna, but even more than that, I so love how girly she is. She loves pink, she loves dresses, and she always notices when I change my toe nail color.

The best part about making her a new dress, is that there is always a show after she puts it on.

We call her "lady" because she is so darn sweet, helpful, and well, just like a little lady. She can have very good manners when she wants, but she can certainly hold her own with her two brothers. She found the first wild flower outside today, and brought it over to show me. Someone grabbed it from her (I will not name names here) and holy moly, I don't think anyone will be taking a flower from her again, any time soon.

I am so glad she is sweet, and precious, but more than that, (I have to admit) I am glad she is tough, has a strong voice, and lets you know when she is mad.

Someone asked if she got a dress like the boys shorts. Of course she did.

Of course.

So sweet! I loved the story and, of course, the dress you made. I was looking back at your older blog posts the other day and came across the bear posting. The one where you made the new bear, from the older one. Did you use a patter for the new bear or wing it? I would love to give a bear like that for a baby gift but don't have a clue as to how to make it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Way to go Ana - for being a girly girl and able to hold your own against your brothers.

Wish my daughter would want to wear such cute dresses - I have the original girly girl in jeans, I guess.

I had to take some time this A.M. to see what you have been up to - and I must say - you have been keeping yourself busy! BUT I have to admit my favorite FAVORITE reads are the ones that feature you and Frank and the kids....I must be gettin' homesick for my cutie pie nephews and nieces! I loved reading the last two entries. Lots of Love, Auntie Elizabeth!
