I think she is all set

While I was making Anna's birthday dress, I could not stop thinking that the top piece of the pattern would make a very cute halter. I knew just the fabric I wanted to use. This Olive Amy Butler print I had in my stash.
I used my trusty pants pattern, left off the ruffle, shortened them, and tapered them a bit more.

Sewing for her is always so much fun. I just can't seem to stop. Between the hand me downs she gets from our neighbor and the clothes I make for her, the only shopping I do for her is at the fabric store, which is so fine by me. Just fine.

Cute as ever, I loving coming here to see what you've made next. I have some patterns to try and make for my 7yr old on my new machine, but since I bought it I just haven't been able to find the time!

The sewing you do for her is better than anything you'd find in a store anyway.

I still remember the navy batik dress my mom made me when I was little. I loved that dress so much.

I'm glad we're getting back to the days where clothes shopping means fabric shopping. That way just because Nordstrom thinks we should all be wearing yellow, we don't necessarily have to.

P.S. I tagged you in a meme -- but play along only if you feel like it!

Fabric shopping is the best shopping! Since I've started sewing clothes, I very rarely shop for clothes anymore.

I love your little girl's outfits. She always looks like she is very proud and happy to wear them, as she should be. :)
