Addison has his "mini" kindergarten day today. He has been asking for a new pair of pants, and I thought this would be the perfect occasion. He is becoming very involved in designing the clothes I make for him. We went and picked out the navy blue linen together, he wanted two pockets, like the one on
this dress, and he wanted buttons, not buttons that close the pockets, just buttons.
Okay.

All of the things the he will experience, the challenges, the excitement, will become a part of him. Most of all though, I know that he is ready, even if I am not.
So, I guess the only thing we can do is just jump in with two feet, and go for it.

Wow - what a cool guy you have!
Love the kindegarten pants - no doubt they will be getting plenty of action! (I thinnk it is always harder on the Mum's when they start school).
Great pants! I love the "jumping in with both feet" illustration, too! I can imagine how hard it would be to start your kid in school for the first time.
fantastic pants....great boy style with a bit of buttony flair.... love em.
such a handsome little guy! kindergarten will be great. love the pants, too.
They look great! I love that he's involved in the design of his clothes.
I love these. And you know, I think I could make a pair for my kid. He would love them.
Great pants for a great little kid. Love them - did you use a pattern? Or just wing it? And yes, it is always harder on Mom than them when starting anything. Enjoy,
Kris
That is so sweet! They always like things better when they get to help. You're such a good mom!
The pants are so cute! I can vividly remember my oldest childs first day of kindergarten. It is hard to believe that he will actually be 27 on his next birthday! Don't blink.....they grow up so fast!

love the pants, and he certainly looks like a happy camper!
Nothin' like a spankin' new pair of kindergarten pants. I think he looks smashing in them! I hear you about letting go. Couldn't they just stay little forever?
I know what you mean with school about missing a part of their day/life :-( Your post made me sniff.
