Thanks so much for all your sweet thoughts on Anna's favorite little outfit. I have decided to leave it as it, and put it away. All your comments made me excited to make her a new dress.

I made her this dress for her birthday that is coming up. Action shots will follow, but for now it has to stay in hiding.
I used Barefoot Roses fabric, which I love so much. It is so beautiful and bright. The pattern is Simplicity 2994. There are so many options to this pattern that I just love.
That is the back view of the dress. I love it because it just ties around the neck, then around the torso, no snaps or buttons.

It is such a girlie dress with the flowers, pink, bows and ruffles, but I do love it. I hope she will too.

Absolutely beautiful!! I love the polka dots and the ruffles!! "Very Girly" indeed!! I am bookmarking this post for when we "hopefully" will have a "girly" girl. :)
I LOVE this dress!
What a sweet little birthday dress... she is going to look adorable in that!
totally adorable.
and it will be loved and treasured like her last one.
Adorable. I love pinks and greens as a combo. Last summer I made my first tiered skirt and it was so hard! Now that I got the hang of it s not so bad but alot work. Have a great weekend-
Oh so cute dress!!
It is lovely! I can't wait to see her in it!

So sweet. Both outfits are very sweet. Ainslee has a red Batik dress (purchased, not hand made) very similar in pattern/ style and she has worn it for two years now. I hope your little girly-girl gets as much wear out of hers.
oh! it is so pretty and girly and perfect!!!! nice job, Katie!
Oh I totally agree that you should put Anna's 'old' dress away, and treasure it. I love the new dress you made her, it is adorable. Can't wait to see some action shots of it :)

I wish my little girl was young enough to make dresses like this for her. Shes 17 next week and I can't believe where those years have gone.

I absolutely love the dress. It's just so great. I keep meaning to work on some stuff for my little one before she gets too big. Guess I better get on it. Congrats.
Absolutely adorable! The girlier the better if you ask me. I think she will just love it! Good work Mama!
