I have a crush....

My Pimlico shrug, from Knit 2 Together is done, and I am very, very happy with it for so many reasons. The pattern is realy easy, versatile, and snugly. After seeing this beautiful one, made by Kniterella, I had to get the book, and make one of my own.

You can really wrap yourself up in this one. I think my favorite part is the sleeves. I love all the ribbing, and the shape of the upper arm. You start by knitting a rectangle, then sewing in sleeves. The pattern calls for a 34" rectangle, but mine was only 22". I did not do the eyelet pattern either, just a simple seed stitch I found in this book. There are so many variations you can do and I can not wait to make another one.
I used Berocco Alpaca, 4 1/2 hanks in Potting soil mix.
I knit size small, but knit an extra inch in the sleeves because I have long arms.
If you are a knitter and do not have this, book oh boy! You have to get it. There are so many fantastic patterns, you won't be disappointed.

Oh, I love it! I've been doing more sewing than knitting recently, but you might have gotten me to go dust off those needles! I really love you creations...great photo shoots, too!

I have a crush on your shrug, too! It is FABULOUS. It looks so comfy and cozy, but is extremely elegant at the same time. Great color, too. Well done!

Wow that is beautiful but looks complicated and scary to this girl, LOL. It looks great with your jeans and I bet it would be cute for dressing up as well. Your an amazing knitter. I'm going to keep practicing.

I have a pattern in an older magazine that shows how to sew something similar out of sweater yardgoods. It was so easy, I made myself 2. And you are right, they are lovely to wear!

Yours is gorgeous.
