It's all about Anna

It has been three years. Three years since I held her for the first time, saw her tiny body from across the room. It seems like only yesterday, and forever ago, all at the same time.

She has always been the most determined person I know. The first night she was home from the hospital, I was so exhausted I thought I would nurse her to sleep, and doze at the same time. She kept crying, and crying. Then I put her down in her car seat, and she feel asleep on her own, and slept through the night. Well.

She has always done what she wants, when she wants. My water broke when I had company, I think I was at the hospital for maybe an hour before she was born. The nurse kept telling me to stop pushing, and I had to keep telling her that I wasn't pushing, she was just coming out anyway.

She is strong, pretty sassy, and a bit sneaky. She knows what she wants, and tries very hard to get it.

I hope she never changes.

she is wearing a gorgeous dress!
she sounds like she has a lovely spirit - imagine how lovely life would be with that confidence. i think kids quite often know when they are ready to do things - society just tries to dictate when they should be done. my youngest is much like yours - he does things in his own time.
happy birthday anna - may the year bring you much joy.

Happy Birthday Anna!
Your little girl reminds me so much of my little girl (17 now and learing to drive!). Sophie has always been full of determination, if you say you won't be able to do that, she'll prove you wrong and do it. She hasn't changed much since she was born but I wouldn't want her to.

I think three is a good preview to the teens. Good luck with that! Ü
My third is the most strong willed, fun, sassy of the group. I love them all.

For some reason, your posts are showing up in my bloglines, in any case, this dress is cute (as is the girlfriend swing coat) I need to find a cute girl deserving of cute things. And your Pimlico shrug is awesomeness itself.
