I came up with a very easy idea, that does not even require a sewing machine.
The front of the apron was the perfect shape, but it took me a while to figure out how to do the straps. I just crossed them in the back, and sewed them on with my sewing machine. You could also hand sew them on, or add more snaps or buttons.
If your apron does have a pocket, it will most likely fall in the back of your dress, so just take your seam ripper, rip it out, and sew in on the side or front.
I am so glad I found a cute way to wear these more, because I love vintage aprons!
If you want to make one, and have any questions, please, let me know and I will get back to you.

This is super cute. A million moons ago I made some tote bags from them (vintage chica has a tutorial I think), and it occurred to me that they would make great smocks for kids just by doing something similiar.
How cute... and so creative!
