Really excited about rubber gloves

I was thinking that I would make a friend an apron for Christmas, and when I saw these cute fabric trimmed rubber gloves in this Cath Kidston book, it sealed the deal. I thought the gloves would go great with the apron, and I couldn't wait to make it.....even if it is only July.

It was really simple, just buy some gloves from your grocery store, and cut a fabric strip about 27" long with, pin in place and sew. I did pleats like the book, but you could also gather the fabric and do a ruffle.
I have been wanting to make a long apron for a while now, I love the way they look. I made this one reversible with a pocket on one side.

I will be making more gloves. They are so quick, and I think they would make a great housewarming gift with some nice kitchen towels and dish cloths. I love to clean my house, but even if you don't clean, or do a single dish, you have to admit, they look pretty darn cute hanging over the sink!

These are cute - even for me who does not like to clean in the summer - I could see wearing these and being motivated to clean!

Awesome combo of gloves and apron! And I loved a little glimpse into the kitchen! I have the exact same glass canisters on my counter.
