I have been wanting to make a long apron for a while now, I love the way they look. I made this one reversible with a pocket on one side.

Really excited about rubber gloves
I was thinking that I would make a friend an apron for Christmas, and when I saw these cute fabric trimmed rubber gloves in this Cath Kidston book, it sealed the deal. I thought the gloves would go great with the apron, and I couldn't wait to make it.....even if it is only July.

It was really simple, just buy some gloves from your grocery store, and cut a fabric strip about 27" long with, pin in place and sew. I did pleats like the book, but you could also gather the fabric and do a ruffle.

Love the ruffle gloves & apron! I just had a bridal shower, that would be such a fun gift for a new bride!

Too chic! Love them.
if I only had time to clean...they do look adorable hanging over the sink :-)
Great idea! They are darn cute!
These are cute - even for me who does not like to clean in the summer - I could see wearing these and being motivated to clean!

Awesome combo of gloves and apron! And I loved a little glimpse into the kitchen! I have the exact same glass canisters on my counter.
SO CUTE! I am loving those gloves (and apron, too!)! I'm definitely going to try some of those out as gifts -- they are so great!
MUST MAKE SOME! Heck, I'd even do the dishes more if I had those!
