Sewing binge

Thank you all so much for your words about Ms. Marigold. It sure is funny how something we don't like about our self screams out to us, "look, I am here!" taking away from the things we do like. I know I am not alone, and that does make me feel better.
I have been in the mood to sew, especially since my neighbor loved her needle case so much! She came over the other day to show me what it looked like with all her needles lined up so neatly. My needles were at the bottom of my knitting bag and I would get in a fight with my yarn every time I needed a new one!
Not anymore.

That is the back. I really wanted to use up some of my favorite scraps. I love the wonky seams, and I am very happy with the way it came out. So nice to not cut in a straight line!

Addison's best friend is turning five on Saturday and he wanted to give her a monkey. She loves monkey's, and has entertained my kids for hours impersonating them. I did not have a pattern for a money, but I think it came out pretty well. I used a brown jersey knit, because it is stretchy and soft. Very huggable!

I love the needle case and the monkey! So cute! Don't you just love patchwork? It makes things so interesting. I also loved the Ms. Marigold sweater. I thought it looked awesome, and the color was gorgeous. I am not a knitter - I have tried it and determined I don't have the patience just yet! I can really appreciated hand made knitted items after my experience!

Both projects are great. I get on sewing runs like that. It seems the more I do it, the more I want to.
