Knitting with green

I finished up the Cozy V-neck sweater from Fitted Knits last night, blocked it, and it was dry and ready to wear today.
Usually after my husband and I sneak out on the deck for these photo shoots, I can not wait to peel my new knit off, but today it was cool enough to keep it on. Kind of excited about that.

My sister gave me this beautiful green yarn, and I could not wait to make something with it. I looked at lots of patterns, changed my mind a zillion times, then finally settled on this one, and I am so glad that I did. This was fast and easy, knit in one piece on big needles.

I tried it on several times while knitting, and I was a bit worried. All that ribbing across the belly is not so flattering, but blocking made all the difference.

The details:

Pattern:Cozy V-neck from Stefanie Japel's Fitted Knits

Size: 36

Yarn: Knitpicks Andean Silk, 6 balls, color Jade (so yummy!)

Needle: size 9 and 7

Mods: I made shorter sleeves and knit the body to 24", and blocked to 26" I love the length of it.

I am sure I will be making another one with longer sleeves, maybe in black!

Oh, yeah! The color is super nice and it fits you so well! That bracelet you have on is cool, too. Where's the close-up? :) Happy Weekend to you & yours!

P.S., I can't wait to be able to wear a sweater. AUGH!

Great knit! (Damn, your fast!) I think it's very flattering on. The ribbing makes you look thinner too (if that's possible!)

Have a great weekend!

As always, it looks great! I love that color of green as well. I'm working on Flair now - thanks for your advice on my fitting question. If only I could knit as fast as you!

You are fast! Seriously...you need to film yourself knitting and post it so we can see your technique. The sweater is lovely!

Thanks so much for stopping by Meggie's Stuff. Your knitting project is beautiful! Love the color, too. Even tho I have some knitters on my sidebar, I am not a knitter myself. Leslie, from A Friend To Knit With, got me started blogging. I think you knitters are so talented. Have a great long weekend.

That is so pretty!! I just saw a handknit sweater at the thrift shop last night. You can really tell the difference between it and a store bought one.

What a great color and perfect for the upcoming fall season. Love the design and it looks great on you. You are a whiz at those knitting needles and I love how you took a knitting pattern and made a fabric jacket out of it - way cute.
