Autumn love

Autumn. I love that word. It is so much prettier than Fall, don't you think?
There are so many things I love about this season.
It is a time for a bit more relaxation. We let the weeds have their way with the garden, put on our pajamas a little earlier, and bake a lot more.

Pumpkins, hydrangeas, apple cider, a favorite scarf. Yes, these are some of the reasons why I love autumn.
For me, it is not a time to dread the long winter ahead. It is about enjoying the changes happening right now, because really, there is so much to love about Autumn.

Autumn is to love! To open the windows and hear the quiet is dreamy, to hold the colors of toddies and teas is to know cozy & warmth. Thank you for the gentle pleasures you give, a nudge I sometimes need.

Yes, I love Autumn too. Leaves rustling underfoot, the colors of the trees, the smell from wood-burning fireplaces and burning leaf piles, thick college sweatshirts, getting ready to hibernate...

Autumn sure is great - it's just hard to let go of the carefree days of summer. Though I have to say I've really enjoyed the yummy apples in the grocery stores these days.

Ah yes, Autumn...pretty leaves and all...even the raking.

Reasons I would love to visit you:
1- I LOVE choc chip cookies...it's like you were taunting me!
2- Maybe with your knitting magic you could show me how to fix my latest knitting boo boo
3- I miss the sweet sound of children!

I am an autumn lover as well, it's easy when you live in New England I think. We are counting down the days to our first apple picking trip. That is when it's really autumn for us (because, you know, there is apple cider and pumpkins then too!).
