Holy zucchini is all I can say. I know they are yummy, and are good for you and blah, blah, blah, but if I have to eat another zucchini steamed, or grilled, all healthy like, I just may lose my mind.
The first ten or so are always yummy, but that is about my limit.
Let's change it up a bit shall we?

We had a zucchini grating party and made some
chocolate zucchini cake! Yummy! You can find the recipe in
this post. Some
zucchini bread is always good too.

Now, I am off to find a recipe for chocolate tomato cake....

They really do come all at once. All of a sudden you have 200 Lbs of zucchini and thousands of tomatoes. Mmm, the cake and bread look delish! Great pics too!
My favorite way to eat them is sliced thin, laid out on a greased cookie sheet, sprinkled with feta cheese and a drizzle of honey (really!) and baked til they are golden, about 20-25 minutes. I love them this way!
You mentioned chocolate tomato cake...I have an awesome recipe! I actually mentioned to my husband this week that this is the cake I want in two weeks on my birthday. I didn't have any ideas for a blog post today so I decided to post the recipe so I could send you the link.

Enjoy!
Oh yumm!!!! I love zucchini!
Oh yum!! I have been craving zucchini bread lately and that zucchini cake looks DELCIOUS! I just might have to make something zucchini related this weekend!
Zuccinni freezes really well too - shred it and freeze in portions for zuccinni bread - we put it in muffins, pancakes - breaks it up a little bit. And fried with a stick of butter is always good...

Ha! They sure do! Zucchini cake/bread is so yummy!
I love zucchini bread and would imagine I'd like the cake too. Looks like you had a lot of fun :)
I was hoping the chocolate tomato cake was a joke....apparently not! yikes! But you know me...not a huge fan of the tomato unless it comes in a soup....
I haven't had the cake in forever though...do you put lots of choc chips in it like I do? I use 1/2 bag in the mix & the other 1/2 on top!

OOO, I love chocolate tomato cake. We had the attack of zucchini earlier this season and I made tons of zucchini casserole and zucchini bread. At first I was sick of it, but now I miss having endless zucchini at hand!
I'm off to get some chocolate because we have LOADS of zucchini as well. Thanks for the recipe!
Love the pics!! And you're writing really made me laugh-
Enjoy!
MOM
I love zucchini bread! The kids look like they are having so much fun! Very cute.
Okay ~ now you've made me crave zucchini! Thanks. Seriously I too, thought the chocolate tomato cake was a joke. I'll have to investigate further. I mean I love chocolate, love tomatoes. Just never thought of them together.
I hope you don't mind, but I just tagged you for a meme. If you don't like that kind of thing - I totally understand!
Hehe! My friend had a similar problem with her zucchini last year and a bunch of us ended up with her leftovers (I didn't mind). Zucchini chocolate cake sounds delish!
I actually bought one today!! I really felt like one after not having one for 6 months.
I know this post is kind of old but I wanted to say, you can freeze it! Shred it beforehand, drain it good (it will start to leak water after sitting in the bowl for a few minutes) and then pack it in zipper bags in 2 cup increments. This way you just pull one bag out of the freezer to make zucchini bread during the late winter! Good luck this year! We always get slammed!!
