Fun with Clothespins

I have loved to craft for a long, long time. Before I knew how to knit and sew I used to make smaller things. Like clothespin dolls.

Oh, these are so much fun. I went to Joann's the other day, and I was able to get everything I needed (except for the eyelets) for about $13. The kids and I had so much fun making them that night. Addison loved his Santa so much, he took it to share with his class today.

You can find the instructions here. Be sure to watch the fun video on how to make them. After that, just close out the video, and the templates will pop up.

I love the way they look hanging from our tree. So whimsical. They make great ornaments to attach to gifts.
They are also very fun to play with, after the kids are in bed, on a night your husband is working late. Not that I do stuff like that. Ahem.

How sweet! I love that you are doing so many important and creative activites with your children, they will remember those things all of their lives. And is that a hint of a wide collared, tweed glamour coat I see on one of the clothespin people!?!

Those are so cute! We just made the clay ornaments you blogged about last week so now I guess we'll just keep following your lead and make some clothespin dolls :)>

Those are so cute and a fun activity to share with children. And I must say, those in the houndstooth are quite fashionable!

Enjoy your playtime. Hey, I still color, in coloring books, and I don't have children, so you won't hear me teasing! :D

These look like a lot of fun - I'll be going to JoAnn's tomorrow to get the stuff needed - will be a good craft for when the kids are going bonkers!

I'm so glad you made some again!! I just hung out mine the other day that you made me. Your new ones look so great!! By the way, your fabulous pillows that you made for me inspired me to start sewing again. I started a long cabin quilt that is too big now to work on in my shoe box and I made a small pillow with one side in a log cabin print. I'll post pictures here when I get a chance!
