I try....
Every year I try to wait until after Thanksgiving to pull out the Christmas decorations. I am not sure why I try to set ridiculous rules for myself. The truth is, I love Christmas so much. After Halloween, we start listening to Christmas music. I know it makes some people cringe. Maybe that is why I try to wait. To me, one month is not long enough to celebrate this special time of year.

That is the best tree I've seen in a long time. It's perfect.
Love Shannon
Oh I LOVE it! That is too dang cute. A real tree that you have cut down yourself is the best thing ever.
I love your tree! Especially knowing little hand are adoring it.
We listen to Christmas music early too and can't wait to dig out our decorations once we have had snow. The spirit strikes me earlier every year.
As usual, you have the most lovely photos in your posts. Thanks for sharing!
I love that little tree! :) I agree that one month is just not enough for this holiday -- I start the music and decorations a bit before Thanksgiving and don't stop until after New Year's Eve :)
I love your Charlie Brown Christmas tree! We have gaudy (dare I say ugly?)decorations...lights shaped like santa, reindeer on the front porch (with heads that move up and down), huge plastic "Noel" light up candles. Enough to make you cringe! lol!
the tree is AWESOME. just perfect!
This is all straight out of a magazine, it's so pretty. I love the simplicity here. Tell me, do your garlands shed much? I'd love to be brave and try that too...
With your wonderful talent & total lack of fear in decorating with white, you could keep Christmas garland, a wreath and tree up all year and even someone like me who kind of dilly-dallies would sit in peace & tranquility 24/365. and i love your Charlie Brown tree! When my husband & I were both working in forest management, we, too, were fortunate to cut our own tree...a loblolly or a red cedar. it's what brings you the most joy that really matters and little hands decorating must certainly be that! :)
All of your decorations are beautiful! This type of tree is actually my favorite kind. It reminds me of a Laura Ingall's Christmas. One month is too short!
I love your decorations and the sweet tree. I especially love, love, love your last sentence "Hang in there, little tree." You hang in there too, my sweet Katie. Beautiful YOU and your unbridled holiday enthusiasm has always certainly made MY Christmas time more merry!!
Love you! MOM

ME too! I put away the last of the leftovers and up went the 'ole girl-no time to wait! I admit to listening to Christmas music for over a month now-secretly! I love all 5 of your stockings hung on the stairs, it reminds me of the beautiful family you and Frank have made.
