When I was younger, and Christmas day had passed I always had such a hard time with it. I still do. It really has never been about the gifts. I remember people used to stop by our house all the time with sweets, they would stay and drink coffee with my parents. It seemed as though things were a lot more fun for a month, or so. Like people were a bit happier, a bit more thankful, had more time to talk. I think this time of year can still do that to people.
I will be away from here for a bit. My oldest is on his first Christmas vacation, I have a new nephew to squeeze and lots of goodies to wrap and deliver.
I will be back sometime around the New Year.
I hope whatever you do during this time, it is peaceful.

That picture of the holly berries in snow? Gorgeous.
What beautiful pictures! I have memories of a whole month of Christmas and visits and socializing growing up and that's how we try to make it now too ~ otherwise Christmas day itself just feels anti-climaxic.
Maybe you could post your Chex Mix recipe after the new year?
Have a very Merry and wonderful Christmas and New Year's holiday with your family and enjoy making new memories!
Best and hugs,
Renee
