I was able to finish
Addison's duvet cover today. I am so pleased with the way it came out, and so is he.

I backed it with a vintage sheet and added buttonholes at the top. I loved the combination of fabrics he picked out. I used a white cotton that I got at Joann's for the sashing.

I loved making it for him. I think I would have done it without the "please."

Totally cute! Where do you find such cute fabrics?
What a lovely quilt! Well done ~ I love the fabrics you used. Addison looks like he's snug as a bug under his new quilt. :)
The duvet cover turned out beautiful! Of course I knew it would. Everything you put together turns out great! Such a sweet picture of him in bed!

Oh, I LOVE this. This will be the perfect pattern for me when I do quilts for my kids' rooms (whenever they get their big kid beds...). Thanks for the wonderful idea!

I love it!! It's exactly the look I'm after for a friend's quilt - don't be surprised if you see me putting one together soon.
It's lovely, and he looks so sweet snuggled up under it.

I love it, too. As if the pattern and the fabric weren't brilliant enough, the little red buttons are the perfect touch. Wonderful job.
no wonder he loves it! you did a fabulous job on it!!!
This is wonderful! Honestly, I don't know how you do it all... I think you have magical powers.
That is great! I would love one for me, please! heehee... What a lucky boy.
That duvet cover is great!!! Now I seriously want to make one.
So perfect! You are quick!!!
Oh Phil, that's an awesome quilt. Addison has fantastic taste in matching colors. Perhaps he can help me next time I'm wandering aimlessly at the fabric store.
So beautiful. Great GREAT job.
FANTASTIC!
I just love it, I am so proud of you! (in a loving, excited way, not meant to sound condescending!) I remember when you were just learning to sew, now you effortlessly whip up any delight you can imagine, isn't it fun? To be able to make things?!? This is such a great gift for the babes, they can cherish them forever. My fave part is that sweet little face peeking out from under the cover, and that he still sleeps on the inside of the bed-how can he be 5 already!?!
Wow, so pretty!!! Love it.
This is so cute! And the fact that he loves it so much is just icing on the cake. Sweet.
gorgeous. what a lucky boy!!
Holy cow Katie! How do you always manage to get so much done?! It's adorable and he looks adorable under it. Clearly, I need to get a move on and do something about all the projects I have stacked up and waiting!
No wonder you haven't been blogging! You've been a sewing mama! That is absolutely beautiful, as usual you know your stuff!
i love it!!! it is sooooo much better than anything any store could ever carry!
I really like it! Everything you do is so wonderful. I love reading your blog, you inspire me to be a better mom, wife and I am learning new creative things which I did not even think about.
Wow! You are so speedy. If I could finish a project that fast my boys would be sleeping under quilts I've made. But oh no... they have unfinished edges on scraps of fleece that they picked out at JoAnn's. I'm pathetic.
So cute! Love the colors and the fact that he appreciates being wrapped in his mother's love literally.
So beautiful, Katie. I just knew that's what you have been zipping through this weekend and Addison looks as comfy as can be.
MOM
Wow -- it turned out wonderfully! What a lucky, lucky boy!
