Surface
I started knitting Surface a while ago, working on it every night while watching Falalala Lifetime, and finishing it up a few nights ago. I had to make this one. It is a free pattern, and I had some yarn in my stash.

I love the details on this sweater. It is a lot of stockinette stitch, but this was the most time consuming project I have worked on. Tiny yarn, tiny needles, and that blister pattern. Wow.
I love the way the model wears it. That is what I had imagined it to look like. Wearing it with a long sleeve shirt underneath, buttoned up, with jeans. Somehow though, as I was knitting away, it just was not looking like that to me. I think the yarn makes it look a bit vintage. Maybe something worn in the 50's. I originally added the button bands and buttons, but I liked it so much better without them, that I ripped them off and sewed a small hem down the sides.

Very pretty. I love the color - gosh do you move fast on your knitting! How do you do it?

honetly, I think your version looks nicer. I like the color of the yarn and it looks softer somehow. Very pretty on you too :-)
This looks great on you! Lovely fit. The cuffs and collar are especially nice.
you wear it well! i think the color is just right.
It looks beautiful on you. I like it so much better without the wrap.
It looks gorgeous and much more delicate than the pattern version. Great job Katie!
Holy Guacamole! You simply MUST break out that dress more often! How can it be possible that that gorgeous, slim, shapely figure of yours has carried and produced 3 children!!! You look ravishing! Oh yes, and the sweater is lovely too-the details are suh fun!
My goodness! It is stunning. YOU are stunning. (Said in a totally appropriate, not sicko way.)
Really worth the extra effort - this is gorgeous!! I love the modification you made with the front.
Beautiful! I love your creations and you make me want to learn to knit!
Gorgeous! Love the pink (especially with that little dress) and I imagine it will be adorable with a t-shirt and jeans! Fantastic!
Wow, it is stunning! I love the vintage look, and it looks fabulous with your dress.
Beautiful, Katie, as always. I like your design alterations too. Had you not said this was a time consuming project, I would be tempted to make this too. However, I'm pretty sure my knitting is much slower than yours, so what takes you a month would take me three years!
beautiful, as always!! and i have to reiterate the necessity of wearing that dress more often - it is very flattering!!
That's so pretty! I LOVE the bobbly pattern as well as the way you've styled it. I was thinking about trying out this pattern...now I REALLY want to make it! (P.S. Thanks for the donut info!)
Love it! soo pretty looks great and I agree it does have a bit of a vintage look to it.
so so so so so amazing. Your talent inspires me.
It's beautiful, the color lovely with your complexion. Jeans and a tee would look rockin', but don't put that black dress away for good. It's totally vintage with this fabulous knit, perfect for a date night!
The sweater looks great on you!
Could you be anymore drop-dead gorgeous than you already are?! I don't think so...beautiful job.
MOM
so pretty! i love the details on the collar and the end of the sleeves.
gorgeous. gorgeous. gorgeous.
gorgeous! How did you learn to knit? Did someone teach you or did you pick it up from a book? Just wondering because you totally inspire me and I SO want to pick it up!

Fantastic!
That sweater is straight up FANCY.
I like it both ways, but I agree, with that color, you gotta go vintage style.
Tell me, how long did this beast take? That blister pattern is suhweet.

Ooooh! I love those details, too. Very nice!
You really should wear that dress...daily perhaps. You look amazing in it. The sweater is simply lovely!
This is beautiful-I just love the color so warm and bright.
so very pretty on you...the color is perfect!
I LOVE it!!! And how cute are you in that dress!!!
When I first saw this patten on Knitty, I thought that wrap thing was built in, and it looked really odd. I just never even scrolled down the page. But now I see that this is a gorgeous sweater. Good job! I am going to add this to my queue.
Hey there. If I could I would send you the "Super Mom" fb flair. You and I both have three children, all young ages, but you can whip out a sewing or knitting project, bake some cookies and post a blog while I am still fumbling around looking for the one needle to start knitting. Amazing. I don't know how you do it. I am going to give "Surface" a try though. It is beautiful on you. I just have to try it.
