My niece, Astrid, will be one later this year. I finished up her birthday quilt last week. This might be one of my favorite color combinations ever.

I think I like the back even better than the front.

It is a crib size quilt, measuring about 40" by 60". All the fabric was from my stash. The only thing I purchased was the batting. The back and binding fabrics are both from Amy Butler.

These are getting hard to let go of. I already started another quilt for our home. More on that later!

Your quilt is lovely! Did you use a book to learn or did someone teach you?

I do not quilt, but I love your quilts! I love the back of this quilt so original and unique. I do not know how you do it, I am always amazed to see how busy you are and how you get all this done! I truly look up to you, makes me want to create and learn.

I am most impressed by the quilting- you do that all by hand, right? Free motion? That is impressive!
Lovely! I love the color combinations, and it will definitely be a sweet keepsake for the rest of her life. I can't wait to see the next quilt.
I love this quilt, too. Your neice is a lucky girl! All the wonderful stippling - so classic. And I love the white sashes. I think they make a quilt really bright and airy. Look forward to seeing your next quilt.

What a beautiful baby quilt. That will definitely be something to cherish! I also like the back very much. I don't know much about quilting, but am becoming more familiar with the Amy Butler name just by reading quilter's/knitter's blogs. Her fabrics are awesome! Where can they be purchased?
