I think it's really important that you take the time to make things for yourself every now and then. If you're making multiples of something, it just makes it that much easier. I was going to write a long story about how I learned this lesson, but it's too long for the comments section. Let's just say... lesson learned!
Isn't this pattern wonderful!!I made 1/2 a dozen of these to gift for Christmas. I never got tired of knitting it.
I never really knit up anything for myself until recently...I love that cowl..I'll have to get my hands on that pattern.
Oh, I love Debbie Bliss yarn, but I'm finding that a lot of stores are starting to carry more luxurious variety without the price tag. I paid like $60 in Debbie Bliss yarn to knit my nephew a baby blanket. Beautiful, soft, but somehow not worth the price. Now I want to make a cowl. So let's see, here's my list: handwarmers, finish the baby sweater I'm knitting for my niece, two pairs of baby booties, and a couple hats. Now you give me cowls. Where am I to find the time!Love your blog. Love your style. BTW.
They looks gorgeous! I'm going to have to try that pattern out for Christmas gifts. I probably should start now ;)
These look amazing!!!! I love all of them but especially the colour of the won you're wearing in the first pic...Take CareJodie :)
Wonderful - and you have to try it out for yourself first, right? Very pretty - and looks like they went very quick!Kris
Love them especially the purple!
They are lovely and the colours are gorgeous!!! How do you find the time to do all the knitting that you do and the quilting plus take care of your family?? You are one talented lady. Would you mind posting the pattern for those of us that do not have it? Thanks :)
Ohhh, those are fun! And I really love the colors! Warm & wonderful gifts...and of course you must gift yourself!
Is that Feather and Fan? I love that one too. I made a sweet little cotton/linen washcloth with that pattern for my mom and it looks great that way too. What I remember about it is that you really only pay attention about once every four rows---my kinda pattern---and yet it looks so fancy!Lovely!Iris
They are going to love them! The colors are great, and they look so cute on!
I LOVE cowls too! I have about 10 different patterns picked out that I want to make. hahaha...I don't care that it is almost March and I should be thinking of spring projects.
I have been wanting to make a cowl, I just can decide which one. There are so many beautiful patterns. Your three look great, and the colors are beautiful. Have a great weekend!
Isn't it such a treat to whip up a quick knit after toiling over a long one liek Frank's sweater?!? I love the colors and they are so useful!

They're so pretty! Great colors and the perfect amount of slouchiness. I'm glad you made one for yourself, too! You deserve it! (P.S. I LOVED your green post. It's my favorite color, too.)
Everyone should own at least one Luxe Cowl! :) It's a fast and easy knit and the yardage is reasonable enough that you can indulge in especially luxurious yarn!Yours are lovely!
