I am.....

I am wondering why I do not make lemon meringue pie more often. It is my favorite kind of pie, and so easy. I just follow the directions on the back of the lemon pudding box.

It did not even last 24 hours. Note to self: make two pies next time.

I am obsessed with making paper flowers. You can watch a video, and get instructions here. You are supposed to use double sided crepe paper, but I have not had any luck finding it. I used tissue paper instead.

I am hoping to get some time to quilt this weekend. I am in love with orange. Especially orange with blue.

What are you doing today?

I am...admiring the soft and warm photos I can always find here as well as admiring that lovely quilt piece of yours. Orange and blue are quite nice together, aren't they!

I LOVE, LOVE the quilt colors! Elizabeth mentioned to me that she loves orange and owls too-I was thinking of making a pillow for Astrid with both of these-if this is her quilt it will match just fine! I just got back from a vendor meeting in Kennebunkport this morning, am trying to return e-mails for Maine Seasons and trying to ignore the housework and this sweet little vanilla sweater for Ava that I really want to finish! After Ava's nap, Chris takes over and I am off to split wood with my dad...busy, busy , busy!

Love the new quilt! 24 hours. That's about as long as that pie would last here, too.

studying is my task for the day...

I too love lemon meringue pie! Well, I love just about anything lemon--Lemonheads, lemon bars, lemons themselves. :)

Yum, pretty, and beautiful. I toyed with having orange and blue for our wedding colors - I love all those orange and blue fabrics out there. Alas, I think I'm going with more traditional fall colors, but orange and blue put up a good fight. :)

Oh I looooooooooove lemon meringue pie!

It's my favorite recipe from Luscious Lemon Desserts (which, if you haven't seen it, is a fabulous lemon-only dessert cookbook).

Of course, your method sounds easier, and with the rate with which it disappears, makes more sense.

:)

Beautiful colors on the quilt. Can't wait to see it quilted. The paper roses are lovely. I had a hankering to make some after seeing the Martha episode, but I am not quite ready to take on another craft.

I giggled about your baking two pies because I think the same thing whenever I bake something that is a hit in our house.

Enjoy quilting your lovely quilt top. This weekend I'll be playing catch up on everything, we'll be all over the place.

You are amazingly inspiring with all the quilts you keep churning out!

My Dad has had us make a lemon meringue pie every year for Thanksgiving my entire life. I think I have it memorized. :)

I had a birthday yesterday and will soon (tomorrow) post some photos of the day I had making art with friends and family, eating yummy foods, and a chocolate layer cake with peppermint frosting!
Love that pie!

The quilt looks beautiful! I hope you are having fun with it this weekend. I was just thinking the same thing about lemon meringue pie this week - had some at lunch and wondered why it's been so long since I made one myself!
