Anna's got a brand new quilt

Anna has had this quilt on her bed since I made it for over a year ago. She loves it, I love it. When the I got these pink vintage pillowcases in the mail, she played with them for about three hours. I ordered them to make her a new quilt. A quilt for her rocking chair. This is where we always read to her before bedtime and I thought it would be nice to have a quilt to cover up with.

She had other plans though. She was dead set on the new quilt for her bed. Do see where the other one is now? She put it there herself. Before the new one was done. I guess I can't argue with her.

I have been sewing away on this every night and every morning she would ask me about her quilt. I think she is happy.
I based it on the Brick Path Quilt, by Amy Butler. I cut my rectangles a few inches longer and wider (6" by 10"). It was really hard to cut into those beautiful vintage prints.

I used a vintage sheet for the back and the binding and quilted down the straight lines.
I have to tell you that this one only cost about $30 to make!
The pillow cases were $8.50, bought on etsy.
The batting was $9.99 from Joann's ( I used a 50% off coupon)
The vintage sheet I used for the back and binding was $12.
Now, back to the green sweater.

Have YOU ever thought of opening an etsy shop? With all you produce you would have no trouble keeping it stocked! I think a lot of us would be very interested in buying up your beautiful stuff!

This is gorgeous. Aren't vintage pillowcases the best thing ever? I like that quilt pattern, too. It's perfect for showing off the fabric. :)

mWow- do you sleep? ;) joking. This is absolutely gorgeous! I love the pattern. I don't mean to be, but I think I may have to be a copy-cat and do this same type of quilt. It's great!
