I am really excited about this little quilt. It is for the Mountain Baby Blanket project. Did any of you see the special with Diane Sawyer? So heart breaking. Thinking about those little babies is almost too much for me to take.
You can read more about this great project
here.

I made a stacked coins quilt with wonky seams. I used Amy Butler and some white flannel for the back.

I love this little quilt and I am excited to send it off to it's new home.

Very cute quilt... I need to finish quilting mine, so it could go on its way as well.
beautiful, in so many ways!!
Very very pretty quilt. You have that special touch with quilts, I could never coordinate colors as you do, combining them reminds me of a frost on the window, complicated simplicity. It is just amazing how many people in blog world doing something so special as this quilts.
It's lovely. I'm sure that it will be loved.
i saw it on flickr and loved it there. love it more even now. very special.
Beautiful quilt! So thoughtless and generous of you....at least one more warm baby!
It's absolutely adorable. And thank you for the link as I would like to read more about this wonderful project!
That is so sweet!! Did mom get the sheets to you? I'll see you Friday:)

Mountain Baby Blankets
Beautiful little quilt. The recipient will love it so much. I've been planning on a crib quilt to donate, and some flannel blankets. I will get to work on them now that I've seen another wonderful donation.
beautiful!!! wow, really pretty!
An amazing treasure for a lucky family!
Thank you for your work here!
Adorable quilt and so generous of you to give this to a great cause. I am moved by the project. I don't quilt yet but I wonder if they take crochet blankets. I'll have to look into it:)

Darling quilt! I'm sure it will be loved and appreciated. xo
Wonderful. The sewing and the gift your giving. :)
I watched that Diane Sawyer special this past weekend -- heartbreaking for sure. I spent some time in high school working in that area and that part of Kentucky touched me deeply.
I love this quilt so very much! I would want to keep it but you are a much nicer person than me. The recipient will cherish it!
that is SO cute! I love the stacked coins- just think how happy some little bambino will be to have this beautiful quilt. Very generous of you!
It is lovely!!
Your quilts are really incredible and so are you for being so generous.
BEAUTIFUL
WHat a sweet idea - just beautiful!
What a gorgeous quilt - and for such a worthwhile cause! You have really gotten the quilting bug lately!
What an amazing project! Your gorgeous quilt is sure to make someone very, very happy.
I am so proud of you-gorgeous work again! I read a bit about this project, I am too scared to watch the 20/20 show just yet-I am afraid I might have a breakdown! I would like to help though, so I will look into it. I weaned Ava officially last night and I am quite sad-when my spirits lift, I will watch the show and see how I can help too. Thanks for sharing!
Katie - I love it! And for such a wonderful cause... Hope the Smiths are having a great week! I'm making our flights to Maine for August today!
What a beautiful quilt! It's sure to be well received.
What a gorgeous quilt! I love the colors you used on it - you are turning into a quilting machine!

Wow Philigry you are so generous. That quilt is just beautiful and to think that you are sending it off to someone who really needs it. You are so kind.
Just beautiful!
What a sweet little quilt...just perfect. Lovely colors...coin quilts are so pretty!
Ooh, hey! I just joined the project. I saw the special and my heart just aches. That is where my family is from. My maternal grandmother was born and raised deep in the mountains of eastern KY and the hardships she experienced way back then are clearly still around today. Great job on the quilt! Next time I raid my cloth bin, I'll be looking for baby quilt ideas.
You've inspired me to try my hand at a quilt for the local women's shelter. I'm going the easy route for my first one, and using a jelly-roll for a strip quilt. I'll blog about it!
OMG! I love this quilt.. will you please sell some on etsy??? I will be the first to buy one. I LOVE it!!!!!
i love wonky seams! it's a beautiful quilt for a great cause.
