In the meantime

Well, my Fireside is going really slow. Good, but slow. I can't work on it when the kids are awake, or while talking to anyone, or when the television is on. I think there will be lots of progress shots of that one before it is done.

So, in the meantime I am working on this double breasted black cardigan from Glam Knits. Can you believe I do not own one black cardigan? I have lots of brown but no black. I think I am going to do lots of mods on this one. The pattern starts out with a broken rib, then goes to seed stitch after you separate the arms from the body. I love the broken rib, so I am sticking with that. Also, I think I am going to pick up and knit in ribbing all the way around, instead of doing the lace pattern. Still not sure on that one. I love the sleeves in the picture, but I am sure mine will be shorter. They will be easier for me to wear and not get in the way. I plan on wearing this one a lot. I love it.

You are one prolific sweater maker...and you are so good at it!! I've looked over all the gorgeous sweaters you have been making and I am in awe! You have me curious though...what is your favorite thing to do....quilt or knit??? Or do you like them both equally???

"Can you believe I do not own one black cardigan?".... I gasped, I shuddered, I was horrified. Then I relaxed as you will soon have one!

Oh, that's so funny; my entire closet is black! Black wool is not fun to knit with or photograph, but it always looks so classic and elegant. This will be so lovely.

I have more black than anything else! You'll love it.

Wow, no black!! Good grief. My entire closet is black...actually, now that I think about it, it's kind of depressing. However, your cardi is awesome. I love the double breasted design. I noticed on the photo of the pattern it looks like they added white buttons. Gives it a bit of that Channel look.
