That sweater

Have you seen the movie, The Holiday? I have seen it a lot. That sweater , Amanda is wearing when she is making faces at the dog, stuffing her face in bed, and dancing around the living room makes me giddy.

I was watching it this fall, frantically flipping through one of my knitting books trying to write a pattern for it.
Then I found it. The Fireside Sweater pattern on Ravelry.
This is a slow going project. It is teaching me how to be a patient knitter. Reading charts is not fun, but wearing this sweater will be.

Good luck!! I went and had a look on Ravelry, and it looks like it is going to be a mammoth task, it will be gorgeous when it's finished though. I LOVE your blog!!

You are not going to believe this, but I've rented that movie 3 times because of that sweater. Oh, I cannot WAIT to see this on you! Aren't the knits in that movie gorgeous?! And that little cottage? Ah.....

Yes, this is a lovely sweater. Wanted to knit it for some time now, but forgot all about it. Once you get a hang of a chart it is much easier to follow it, for me anyway. I find it very challenging reading a written pattern. I definitely would love to see the end result. It will look so good on you.
