Ice-Cream Cookie Dessert:
2 Dozen chocolate chip cookies, crushed
Walnut Mix:
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 1/2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
Chocolate Sauce:
1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup powdered sugar
1 bar (2 oz) unsweetened chocolate baking bars broken into pieces
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Half gallon vanilla ice cream, softened
For Walnut Mix:
Preheat oven to 375. Grease 8-inch-square baking pan.
Combine butter, nuts, and brown sugar, and bake for 8-10 minutes. Cool Completely.
For Chocolate Sauce:
Combine evaporated milk, chocolate chips, powdered sugar, baking bar and butter in a medium, heavy-duty saucepan. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until chocolate is melted. Reduce heat to low: continue cooking, stirring occasionally, for 5-7 minutes or until thickened. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and cool completely.
To assemble:
Wrap outside of a 9 or 10 inch springfoam pan with foil. Spread 1/3 chopped cookies on bottom. Top with half of ice cream and half of the chocolate sauce. Combine remaining nuts with remaining cookies. Spread half of the cookie-walnut mixture over chocolate sauce. Top with remaining ice cream, chocolate sauce (reserving 2 tablespoons) and cookie-walnut mixture. Drizzle remaining chocolate sauce over the top.
Freeze at least four hours before serving.
