White walls

So it's no secret that I love white. I paint lots of things white, but I have always painted my walls a color. Lately I have been feeling like our downstairs bathroom, and the kid's bathroom is just too dark. I had a crazy urge to paint them white, but I held off for a while.

The urge never left, and I just did it. I painted the downstairs bath last week. I used a white semi-gloss that we already had. It took me a few days to get used to it, but now I am in love. It is so nice and bright. You can see a before picture in this post.

This is the kid's bathroom. I painted this Eurolinen, by Behr. In the store it looked a little darker, but it works. I love the way it turned out. You can see the bathroom before picture here.

We made our sink out of an old vanity we found antiquing a few years ago.

See that white sign? I have a friend, Gwen that makes these great signs out of old barn wood and I asked her to make me one that said white. She makes great custom stuff. If you are interested in something, you can email her at pinkbuddonsmcgee@aol.com

I love the white - but with Todd and kids I'm afraid they would destroy it. How very peaceful it looks in there.

I love it. Our entire house was yellow when we bought it so I have been slowly repainting .... and I mean SLOWLY. Question --- do you match the white baseboards to the walls or is it two different whites?

I love your beautiful white home. I wish mine could be that fresh looking but not with the zillion of kids that run through our home. I'll just enjoy yours! :)

It looks great. White wouldn't stay white for very long around here (she types while looking at smudges on her yellow wall in front of her...), but I'd have loved to have used it in my kid's bathroom. We went with pale grey in the end.

I used to want to paint colors every where. But when it comes down to it...I really, really love white walls!

I work for Kohler and LOVE that you have Kohler in your bathroom. Don't you LUV the Transitions toilet seat for the kiddos! Seriously...that's my favorite product we have in our line. I know...it's odd!

Tabitha,
oh, i wish i could respond to you personally, but i can't get to your blog for some reason.
Yes, i love all of the kohler products. my husband is a plumber and that is all we put in our house. it really is the best. i was thrilled the day he brought home those toilet seats. i have almost blogged about a few times, but i thought people might think i was crazy. now i think i may have to. what a great company to work for. i have a commercial idea i would love to submit to them....maybe someday i will have to do that.
