Not too bad. I love the fit, and the yarn. I like the button detail. I think it makes a plain sweater stand out a little more.
I used the stitch count from my Rusted Root with lots of mods. The neck ended up being a little more cowl than turtle, but that is okay. I picked up every stitch because I got nervous I would not be able to get it over my head. If I were to do it over again, I think I would pick up less, but I do like the neck the way it is.
Pattern: Stitch counts from Rusted Root (size med) with lots of mods.
Longer body, long sleeves- I knit straight to my elbows then had two rounds of decreases every third row, added ribbing and buttons.
Cowl neck, picking up every stitch around neckline.
Yarn: Cascade super wash, off white, 5 balls. I love this yarn, but it grows a lot when you block it.

Hopefully I will be done with my other Amanda sweater sometime soon. My goal is by Christmas.

You create the stuff my knitting dreams are made up. I love that sweater. Some day. Some day.
Beautiful! It looks simple, yet elegant and I love the way the cowl drapes. :-)
loving it! i do like the cowl neck, it works!
Gorgeous! Cowl neck is my favorite anyway, and you're right about the buttons -- they add 'wow' factor.
It looks beautiful, you look FABULOUS! The sweater is so flattering and I love the winter white color!
Wow! I love this sweater - it is amazing!

That is a GREAT sweater. You should be really proud.
Wow. It's gorgeous. I may have to shamelessly copy you.
i think this turned out beautifully! but i knew it would :)
looks great on you and i love the button detail.
Oh the cowl is WAY hotter than the turtleneck, in the sense that it's more attractive. In my opinion. But that's me!
So, tell me about Cascade Superwash *growing* when you block. Did you machine wash/dry the sweater? Did it grow after the machine wash/dry?
You're scaring me. I'm nearly done with Bubba's Seamless Hybrid and my plan was to immediately throw it in the machine to wash/dry before giving it to him. Right now it fits perfectly.
Finny,
About the superwash, it did grow but i have to tell you i did not dry it in the dryer. i laid it flat to dry. it grew in length, not width. i washed anna's pink sweater and it did the same, which was really good. i would try to lay it to the size you want it after washing, maybe even scrunch it up a bit. if you plan to dry it in the dryer, i bet it will be no problem. let me know!
Beautiful! I'm glad the sun peeked out for you. We finally saw it today too (for the first time in THREE weeks). yay!

Beautiful! It looks lovely on you and the neck suits the sweater.
I love that movie -- bought the dvd just so I have a reference for scouting down patterns to make "Amanda's" wardrobe of sweaters from.
You'll get a ton of wear out of a sweater like that dressed up or down. Again, lovely on you!
