We celebrated Anna's birthday this weekend. I love this picture of her. My girl, with her girls and a big chocolate cake. My kind of party.
On Monday I helped out with the annual field day at Addison's school. I was in charge of water relay's. I am embarrassed to say that I am still tired.

The peonies and daisies are ready to be picked. Two of my favorites. I need to get out there and cut more.
We have two parties to go to this weekend. I will be wrapping gifts and making more dip.
Addison has his last baseball game of the season on Saturday. I need to remember to bring juice to the after party.
There are lots of dentist and doctors appointments coming up too.
I am feeling a little crazy.

It is not the best time to start another quilt.

Probably should put down my new knitting project too.

The pie? Not necessary, really. Blueberries were on sale at the grocery store, rhubarb is in season, and strawberries are just too good to pass up. I got the urge to throw them in a pie. I hope it is good.
When things get busy, I always have a tendency to make them busier.
I guess it is just the way I roll.

Same here! I guess life is always busy and there are always many things going on... projects, cooking, baking, cleaning, sewing... such simple pleasures though! I find I have to balance the doc appointments with something fun like planting flowers or baking. Pretty photos as always, and love the recent sweater!

There is a saying that if you want to get something done ask a busy woman to do it :) Sounds like you this week!

That sweater looks delish (so does the pie for that matter), what's the pattern? Any particular book? I'm looking to buy an adult pattern book and get started on non-baby knits.

And just chill busy woman! You make the rest of us look bad. Even when you're sitting down. :)

Adorable picture of your beautiful little girl with her dear friends. Happy, happy birthday to her and all her wishes come true!

Sounds like your summer is well underway and busy. Somehow, I know you'll stay composed through it all and forget not a thing to be done!

Enjoy and celebrate!

Same here also! The more life seems to throw at me, the more I like to add.
Your sweater and quilt do look pretty- can't wait to see them finished.

Oh, but the crafting helps you take a break from the craziness! So I think it's a perfect time to start a new quilt. :) And how absolutely adorable is the photo of Anna's birthday party?!

Yeah, me too. And when things are not busy, I go out of my way to make them even less busy.

Somehow doing *something* when instead I could be doing *nothing* makes no sense.

However, when I'm already doing a hundred *somethings*, one more *something* seems like *nothing*.

That made no sense.

Beautiful flowers and a great little birthday party - Happy Birthday, Anna!

That pie is making my mouth water. I've always wanted to bake a pie from scratch, but have been too timid to do so.

great party. and i know just what you mean, even if there wasn't much going on in my life, I would find ways to make it busy and even busier. I think it helps us multi-task and enjoy everything!

Ha!!!! I am the same way! But it is quite amazing how busy summers have become.

Happy Birthday to Anna!

Pie and knitting and quilting sounds like a great combination. This time of year always seems to be hectic-I carve in time to get sewing done and even that is hard!

Oh!!!! My favorite flower is the PEONY! I have never seen one though! They are big and full of 'whatcha!" (stolen from George Lopez). Love the sweaters too. I bought some yarn and want to make a poncho for my 13 year old daughter but have no idea where to go from there! I can't just run out and find a patt! It is so hot here now, egrhh, above 100*F. Remember, I'm in the Middle East! I'm putting you on my sidebar! Finally!
