The Purl Scarf

Okay, so my first small project is done, my stash is smaller, and I love this scarf. I don't think I have knit a scarf since I started knitting.
Note to self: Knit more scarves.

This is not for me, but oh, I want to keep it. I used cotton so it is not itchy, but I also used mohair so it is warm with the right amount of fuzz.

The Details:
Pattern: The Purl Scarf, from Last-Minute Knitted Gifts.
Yarn: Two strands of Shine Worsted, and two strands of Phildar Mohair, both in green.
Mods: I used size 13 needles and cast on a few extra stitches.
I am going to sign off until next week. We are taking a much needed family vacation. Ten hours in the car with the kids strapped down means lots of knitting time for me! Hopefully I will use up lots more of the stash, and get more small projects done.
It won't last long though, I have Georgie on my mind.

Knitting scarves is such a quick finished project...they are addicting! My plan is to make a bunch of them for holiday gifts this year.

Great color! I love that shine worsted - I have some in apple green and a perwinkle-ish blue. So pretty and soft!

Great scarf!
You can never have too many of them. They're the perfect gift to knit for others or yourself.
Great colour. :)

Enjoy your trip.

What a lovely scarf. I had the opposite experience - I had to remind myself that I live in California, do NOT need a scarf, and that I should find something else to knit... I think I have that pattern, though. Maybe just one more scarf wouldn't hurt...
