My Turn

Today I sent out my fabric for Twelve Square. I have been so excited about this for so long. Eleven women are making blocks for me. For me.
I had so much fun picking through my scraps. I wanted something monochromatic. I have been meaning to make a quilt like this for a long time. Shades of white, ivory and linen.
I bet you aren't surprised.

You know, sometimes I think about giving up my blog. Sometimes I just want to spend my free time doing stuff, not writing about it and showing pictures.
Then I think about these eleven women.
I think about inspiration.
I think about the friends I have made through this computer.
This is an outlet for me, a place to be just me and share things that make my heart beat a bit faster.
Sometimes I don't even think anyone really reads it.
You know what I mean right? Of course you know by the comments or an email, but then you see someone and they say, "Oh, I love your blog."
It still gets me every time. I still blush every time. I feel a little embarrassed. Then I remember how much I love doing it.
Sometimes I read back a few months and I think about how happy I am that my kids will read this someday.
And today, I am so happy that someday I will have a quilt made by Twelve women.
Pretty amazing if you ask me.

I know what you mean, I feel like it sometimes. Just recently I took a break from blogging, I didn't have time to create, so I didn't write. I couldn't believe how great it felt to be back.
Good luck with the quilt. :)

Don't even think about quitting your blog. What would we all do for inspiration? You help me to focus on my creative energy when all I feel I have time for is my children, my husband, my pets, laundry....Continue to inspire us!

I read your blog and really enjoy it, but I have never commented. :-) My sister also reads it. I started blogging in May, and I really like it! I don't really think anyone but family reads mine. My sister has also started blogging. It's a great way for people to stay in touch when they're miles away.

I'd love an update on your chickens!

I am looking forward to receiving your fabric in the mail. The monochromatic theme is so you!! Recently blogging has been difficult for me for the exact same reasons you wrote, but again all of this inspiration and community is why I truck on.
