I got a lot of emails asking about my cleaning products from the Closet post. They are J.R. Watkins and I get them at Target. They are 100% natural and they smell so good! Even their toilet bowl cleaner is pretty!
I was hoping to find a door on the side of the road, or at the local recycling barn but I didn't have any luck. We found this one at Home Depot for $20 and painted it white. We got black hardware for it. The knob is just a drawer pull.
We left the screen part on the top part of the door. I gave the inside a fresh coat of paint, and added some thing moulding on the front of the shelves. This is going to force me to keep the pantry clean and organized all the time.
This was one of those projects that I felt a bit sick about. Last night I almost wanted to put the old pantry door on, but today I am in love with it.
I think it is my favorite project so far!

I love it. And it would be a great motivation to keep it pretty inside:) I need to simplify our house....in 43 days I will take the time (after county fair).

Love, love, love it! You are a superwoman I dare say with all of your talent for decorating, knitting, quilting, and cooking all rolled into one pretty Mama! I too adore that red pantry door you linked to! I wish I had a pantry door to put it on!
I wish I had time to decorate as often. It looks like so much fun!
How pretty!!!
Our pantry is so heavily stocked I wouldn't dare put a view through door on it. I'm hoping to move my laundry to the basement and turn the teeny-tiny room into a little walk in pantry. Making it custom and pretty like yours would be fun.
Beautifully done, Katie!
I LOVE THIS!!! adding the chalkboard to the bottom half was a great idea!
Anyone who is brave enough to put a see-through door on their pantry has way too much storage space....where the heck is your food??? :o) Great idea Katie, and it looks beautiful - just like the rest of your home!!
Super cute idea!
That turned out great. I bet your kids have a good time with the chalk board.

I have been wanting to chalkboard paint an area of the wall in my craft room- you really are decorating rock star!
Love the chalkboard door! Looks beautiful, very simple. My own pantry is so jumbled right now the screen would scare me :)
Katie, I've been on a decorating tear too! This usually happens to me this time of year, so it should be no surprise to me. I have plans for some chalkboard paint in my toy area. I originally was going to hang a chalk board, but after your comment on my last post, I think painting on the wall would be better.
very sassy!
Another great project!
Oh cuteness! I really have to find a way to use chalkboard paint around here.
You are so industrious! My hat is off to you. I adore this project!
Awesome! I love how you took an inspiration and made it real in a little corner of your home. I almost never consider my doors in this way-it looks great!
Another great idea! I'm debating whether or not to do a whole wall in chalkboard paint in the downstairs hallway for my kids....
What an awesome idea! My friend has a plain glass pantry door. I think the chalkboard panels and screen give it a nice touch.
That's awesome!! You should definitely love it.
love the new door, Katie! Your little elf called me on Saturday and told me about the project and I couldn't wait to see the pics! Can't wait to see you all in a few short weeks!
What a great idea! I do love it! Especially the chalkboard space, what a great addition. !
It's fantastic!
