Hidden Belt Jacket

I have a finished jacket to show you. It felt weird to wear this on such a hot August morning. It has been so long since I have needed to wear a sweater, which is a really good thing around here.

I started this about a month ago, with some great yarn I got at the Farmer's market. It knit up really quick on size 10 needles.

It is a jacket, so it was a little bigger than I was used to. I got nervous and thought it might be too big, but I think it will be all right. The sizes went from 32, to 39 1/2. I am a 36, so of course I went for the larger size. I thought it might be too frumpy, but I would rather that than have it be too small to button up.

The Details:
Yarn: Bartlett yarn, midnight blue about 6 hanks.
Mods: None! I stick to the pattern, it was easy to read and I love the original design.
I started another project this weekend. Something in cotton. I will have more details later this week.

Tell me how you've been able to knit a sweater in the summer. TELL ME.

I haven't done much in the way of knitting soon, but there's a sweater for moi on the horizon.

You continue to inspire me.

Again, you blow me away-you are gorgeous! You did another excellent job on this one. You always find great stylish patterns, can you direct me to where I might find a pattern for a "swing coat" to knit-like a 3/4 length sleeve, A line sweater with a few buttons at the top, but looser and falling away from the bod at the waist and hips?!? Maybe you have seen such a pattern in your style travels?!? I will search through your blog for other references to pattern books and sources too. Thanks!
