Painting letters

It has become an obsession really. Painting letters on fabric. Mostly burlap. I love burlap.

I made a banner for Jack's room. That was my first project. I just cut out some squares and pinned them onto twine. I still need to sew it down. Maybe someday I will get to it.

Then, I recovered this stool. I found this "S" stencil at Joann's and used fabric paint.

Same thing here with the "A" pillow.

And these. One for each of us. I don't want to over due it, but I am sure I already have. I never thought I would get into stenciling, but this I love.
I am trying very hard to find some very large number stencils. Any suggestions?

You could make them out of freezer paper. Just print them from a favourite font onto regular paper and then copy them onto the freezer paper, cut, adhere and stencil!

Great idea and looks great.I'm not sure how wool is packed over there, but my Dad has to mark each bale with numbers and stencils etc and he uses big number stencils.

What a great idea! I have a TON of burlap left over from the wedding (table runners) so this would be a great project!

I love letters and numbers also! I found old style typewriter stamps at Hobby Lobby. Do you have the store in Maine? The package came with both numbers and letters. I use the stamps for everything--banners, scrapbook pages, cards...
