Bella Mittens

How do you take a good picture of mittens anyway?
I still don't know.

I have been wanting to make these mittens since last spring. I decided I really needed them this winter. Especially for driving. Gloves just don't keep my hands warm enough anymore.

The Details:
Pattern: Bella Mittens- another free pattern!
Yarn: Paton's Merino in gray, two strands held together.
Needle: Size 10- the pattern calls for size 8, but the 10's worked out well for me.
This is a great, fall project. I want to knit myself the hand warmers too...maybe next year!

They're so pretty! I love mittens, but they're usually overkill here in Georgia. :)

I think you figured out how to take a good picture of them -- I really like that second picture!

Great mitts! Definitely warmer than gloves. Great pictures too. :)

Very nice! I must prepare for our Wisconsin winters. They are just as cold as those in Maine, I'm afraid.

These are wonderful! I'm dying to make a pair of my own... the only problem is... I don't know how to knit! I tried to teach myself a long time ago but I lost patience and the book I used was only so-so. How did you learn to knit? I'm so impressed with all your projects! I'd really love it if you could write a post with some suggestions on how wanna-be-knitters can get started. Is there a website you recommend? A book? Did you learn from someone in person? THANKS! You're my knitting inspiration!
