Knit, Knit

I have been carrying Georgie around like a security blanket since August. It is taking a while. I know it will be worth it though. This is one of those sweaters I will wear with my pajamas, as well as on a date with my husband.
It is a lot of knitting. The sweater is long, with a hood, and knit on size five needles. I am almost done with the second side. Then I just have the sleeves. Oh, the sleeves.
You know how that goes, right? You think they are going to be fast but they are not.

I want to hurry up with this one. Not just so I can wear it though.

There are some evil knits out there calling my name. They just won't leave me alone. Can't they see my needles are already taken?
Let me tempt you too.

I love Anise. I have loved it since last fall, and almost bought the book, but I stopped myself. Now, it is a free pattern. Is that a sign or what? We were meant to be together. I think I will use this yarn.

And of course, Norah Gaughan. Her patterns are delicious. I love this one. It is simple garter stitch but I need a basic cardigan like this. I need it. I am thinking in a nice dark shade of pink.

My neighbor is knitting Devon, in all black. It is fab. I am not even embarrassed to say I am going to copy her. This sweater reminds me of this sweater Anne Hathaway wore in The Devil Wears Prada.

I love this Gathered Cardi. In a nice charcoal gray with a long sleeve shirt under it. Oh, it is divine. I have a big vintage button that will be perfect.

So, there is my knit, knit list.
For now anyway.

Oh, of course my Fireside sweater is coming along very slowly. I have not worked on it since July. One side is almost done, but that is it. I want this sweater so bad, but I can not get into it. I keep hoping something will magically happen and it will knit itself.
You never know....

Love all the patterns you shared today. I need to make some of those too. Need to. But finding time to knit something for me isn't exactly on the list. I have started a sweater for my oldest for Christmas. and a ribbony scarf for the store. and a blankie. Ugh. I hear ya!

You HAVE to finish that... its looking sooo good.

I agree with you about the other knits, too. I love them all, I want them all.

I want them all to knit themselves.

Maybe we can join a support group together!

Try knitting both sleeves at still takes a while, but at least then they're both done at the same time. No second sleeve syndrome!

Great knit list!

I've started knitting my sweaters and cardis sleeves first since they feel like they drag on after. I just enjoy working on the body of knits more.

Wishing you happy knitting mojo!

I've been looking for a pattern to try my first adult size sweater. I love Anise, too. Thanks for the inspiration and good luck with the queue.

While reading the post I thought, "those sure are an awful lot of sweaters." And then I remembered she lives in a cold snowy place--duh. They are sure pretty. I like them all, but I think I am partial to the ones that look more like jackets.

You're distracting me now with all these hot sweaters!

I love Anise a lot. Maybe even enough to derail my next project (a newsboy hat) to make myself *just one more* sweater for the winter.

Keep on truckin' with those WIPS - I have it on good authority they won't finish themselves. ;)

I do love your taste in knitting patterns--I'm going to have to put the patterns in my queue!

I love some of those sweaters!!!! Never enough time and or money to do it all, but I did down load all those free patterns. I can always dream that I will get done.
Your sweaters are beautiful.

Love Avocet--that is on my list, too. My list is getting out of control--I would like to try a skirt or jumper, something different. I look on Ravelry and just keep adding and adding to the list. But first I have to finish the Lion Neck Cardigan from Wendy Bernard--very cute and very fast.

You always pick such gorgeous knits! I wish I was dedicated enough to actually finish a sweater!!! I have 2 on the needles...but then I always jump into hat and scarf projects that I can finish quickly.

Just printed off the avocet - I have a list of about 8 sweaters to knit now, but have been too scaredy-cat to even start the first one.

Perhaps if you leave that beautiful cabled side on the coffee table one night with a note for the house elves, it WILL knit itself. :-)
