For a Moment

Yesterday, I planted some bulbs inside.
For a moment, I was digging in my flowerbeds.

Last week, I cut some rosemary to make rosemary potatoes.
For a moment, I was in the vegetable garden. Basket in one hand, scissors in the other.

An hour ago, the sun was in my eyes while we were having lunch.
For a moment, I was sitting on the deck at my favorite restaurant, eating fried clams, and feeling salty mist on my face.
We still have a while to wait before the real thing comes along.
So for now-
I will take the moments.

Your descriptions sound wonderful! I'm ready for a change in the weather, too.

I'm trying to feel sorry for the people awaiting spring, but when you live somewhere that doesn't really have seasons, you miss them...

Absolutely perfect words on this wintry day--it's those moments that mean so much.

I like how you think, Katie. Yes, all we have are these moments and we must try to mindfully enjoy them, just like you did!

I keep reminding myself that before long I'll be out in the sun digging in the beds and enjoying the warm breeze...hang in there!

With you on every single post. I keep asking my husband: is it spring yet?!
