Brown

I usually go for light. Light fabric, light colors, lots of windows. For some reason I have been dying to paint a room in our home brown.

I went with our bedroom because it is big, and has lots of windows. I thought it could handle the brown paint. I am so glad that I did it!
The paint is called Blanket Brown, by Behr.
I wanted to go darker but I knew it would be much darker in my room than it was on the paint card.
We also added crown moulding. Not wood, styrofoam. Recycled styrofoam. No nails to put in, no cutting corners either. My husband and I put this up Friday night. It took about three hours.
We ordered it from here, and we love it! We will be doing all the bathrooms next!

It's beautiful! It is a lot more color than you usually have, but it makes all of your white stuff just pop!

I always love your clean lines and white/linen colors but this brown is making me swoon! I could curl up in that room and read/knit for hours.

Love the brown--now I feel like painting my bedroom brown, but I don't have the natural light that you have and it probably would end up looking like a cave. Can't wait to see the rest of your painting.

Ooh, I love the idea of getting crown moulding without needing to get my mitre saw out.

Your bedroom looks lovely. Does it feel more restful than the white did?

The brown looks great! It really makes all of the white bedding pop! In other news . . . I think we might have found our house in the country so I just might be emailing you to get all your tips on raising chicks. :-) Hope you enjoyed your time off.

Katie, that turned out gorgeous! I've been looking through a stack of Behr paint sample cards trying to decide...I am all about vanilla and creams...you may have convinced me to try a little darker.

Your room is wonderful! I wish I could have brown, but we have cherry woodwork throughout our home. Too dark!

Wow... this site is so popular. I just wanted to know how do you monetize it? Can you give me a few advices? For example, I use http://www.bigextracash.com/aft/2e7bfeb6.html

I'm earning about $1500 per month at he moment. What will you recommend?
