Hi there

I have been blogging for almost three years now.
Three years.
When I sat down to write my first post, I was terribly excited. I had started reading a few blogs, and after finding out what they were, and how to start one, I decided to try it.
I had gotten so many great ideas and fun inspiration, and I wanted to give some of that back.
I hope I have done that.
My life is a little different now than it was then.
My kids are getting older, we are getting busier.
I love blogging and I want to say goodbye while I still love it.
I know you all understand.
I really, really want you all to know how much you have touched my life.

Thanks for letting me share with you.

Oh Katie, you will be greatly missed! I hope you'll still be around....and I still owe you a quilt square (which has been sitting on my sewing table in an envelope for MONTHS).

Hi Katie
I am Brazilian and I do not speak English, I use a translator, ok?
I follow your blog from the beginning and love it.
Would not you could post only once in a while?
I will feel greatly missed ...
Anyway, I wish much happiness and much peace to your life and your family.
Kisses with love of Lyz (your fan)

Katie: I haven't been in touch lately but I want you to know you have touched all of us, too. You are so sweet and have the sweetest family. I will miss checking in to see what new item you've made or how you've added something special to your home. Best of everything to you and yours.

Katie - don't GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! YOu will be missed! I know exactly what you mean, though, about life getting busy and the things we must juggle as Mamas. Sometimes it is just too much. Right now I'm lucky I give myself one "writing night" a week... I find solace in it, for sure.

Oh, no! Are you sure??? I have loved your posts. So many of your ideas swirl through my head when I'm shopping. Like, "Every room needs a little bit of red." (paraphrasing). Well, if you change your mind, I shall be here waiting to be inspired.

Katie, I am so sad to hear you are leaving your blog. I will miss you greatly, I check your blog everyday . I do understand though, kids are very busy and you only have a short time with them. I often think I should of spent less time quilting and more time with my children , husband and i spent allot of time with the kids and hubby. It goes by soooo fast. Enjoy your time with them while you can. Would love to hear from you every now and then. Thanks for the past three years!!!!!

I will miss you and your beautiful home but I understand, I haven't been blogging much anymore either. Will you leave your blog up so we can come back and look at it cause I love your home, its like looking at my magazines which I keep forever or will you be deleting it?

Oh no. I feel like my best friend is moving away. Could you just send a quick postcard once in a while? I'm keeping you bookmarked just in case.

I will miss you too, but I'm proud of you. There are just only so many minutes in a day and your kids are at such busy ages. I'll keep you on my list in case you decide to post a few times a year.

Just an advice: maybe you only need a blog break. Is it possible? I deleted my blog once and one year later, re-created it. Anyways, you should leave it here, just in case! Good luck in all your future projects!

I'm so bummed! I love your blog and check it nearly every day. I love brown and white like you - your projects really inspire me. I'll console myself with reading older posts as I only found your blog less than a year ago. : (

I have one question on your slip covered couches. Did you use a general pattern for the pieces or just trace the couch and make up your own? I have a love seat from my parents - good bones but horrible polyester print. I have bought some great denim to slipcover it with and I can see from your earlier posts that piping really makes a difference (denfintely doing the piping now). I'm not concerned about the sewing part as I'm a decent sewer but I was wondering if you bought a pattern (like this one from Simplicity - http://www.simplicity.com/p-2234-home-decorating.aspx ) ??

Any advice on making slipcovers?
Thank you

Oh NO! I've been following you since I moved away from home, almost a year ago. I love your blog, it does feel like a 'normal' mum speaking to others. I love seeing pictures of your home (actually I am envious). I love your knitting, so simple and stylish... Do you really have to go!

Take care, and I will still be checking your blog just in case.

Philigry was my fun little mommy 'time out' when I needed a hit of creative fun. I completely understand about the busy-ness. Good blogging is for people who post often and the stress of trying to do that even every week can often get in the way of family time. Good luck and have fun!
