I started framing black and white pictures of the kids about three years ago. I wanted them to cover the whole hallway, but it stayed half done for a really long time.
We just finished it last night, and it feels good to have it done.

I purchased the frames from our local Big Lots for seven dollars each.

I get all of my black and white pictures from
Mpix. So easy to do right from home on your computer and they are only $1.99 for an 8x10!

I am not the best photographer, and we have a really inexpensive camera, but capturing small moments with our kids is a passion for me and my husband.
Moments like this-

Hmmmm...
Maybe we should get a pool.

Oh my gosh,
when your kids are old (like us) they are soooo gonna love that picture!

That is such a fantastic idea (*filing it away for when I have a real house*) and you've executed it beautifully. The last photo is just hilarious!! It really doesn't matter what kind of camera you have...the moments themselves make for great photography. And how cool that you guys make a point to capture those moments.
Love it! Maybe I'll do something like that in my new house. We definitely have the room, and I've inheirated some great photos of my mom when she was a baby. Thanks for the idea!
Big Lots, I wish I had thougth of that place earlier. I bought some frames at Ikea last week and am painting them white because they didn't have all white ones the sizes I wanted. Your pictures are beautiful.
Beautiful! I do the same thing, Katie. In fact, it's about time that I print some more, but I'm kind of running out of room :)
Love your light fixture, so pretty!
Haha, love that pic of the kids :)
Great job with the wall full of frames -- it looks awesome!
Great pictures!!!! Love how you have hung them in the stairway. The pool is a keeper!!!!
I love that! I'm just waiting for our stairwell to be finished so I can do something similar. Big Lots?!? I'll have to run there and see what mine has. They look great!!!
I love it, Katie. It looks great. Do you change the pictures out as the kids get older, or will you keep them the same and just add to the collection? That's always my big dilemma. We currently don't have a lot of pictures on the walls because I don't usually like the way they look but the black and white in white frames looks clean and neat. I like it. Maybe I'll try it over here in New York. By the way, we have the same exact chair! Ours is black and chippy - found it at an antique store. I blogged about it a while ago. Mentioned you on my post today.
As always, it's fabulous. Your home is so warm and inviting. Love, love, love the expression on his face in that little bucket. So sweet!
Aw, cute...
We have a family photo wall in our living room. It's always the wall that visitors are drawn to - and the one that I spend most time looking at, too.
Love that last picture sooooo cute.
What a sweet photo of your children! And your 'hall of fame' looks beautiful. I always love your creative decorating skills.
Ha,ha!
Loved the last picture!!
Hi, your pictures look wonderful!! I love how you placed them...Kathy
can't wait to see them in real life next week!!!!!!!!!!!
I really love what you've done. Beautiful!
I did something similar in my stairway--now I want to do all black and white photos in the frames!
your picture wall is fantastic! i love the white frames.
I love your house, but honestly I'd be afraid to try to keep it clean! everything's white! :)
