We listen to Christmas music, put in the Christmas movies and start crafting and making gifts.
I do it because I love it, and it makes me very, very happy. It is when I am motivated and full of ideas and have more energy then I do right now-11 days before Christmas!
I also start early so I can take the few weeks before the Holiday to enjoy company, parties and Falalala Lifetime.
I finally did it this year.
These gifts are for all the ladies in my life.
I took vintage sheet music that a friend gave to me, some bows and tags from the Library sale and trimmings from my sewing basket.

The wrapped gifts are gorgeous! Love the small tree in your room, too. The green of the trees is really pretty against your calm neutrals.
They are so stunning. What a great idea too!
Great wrapping idea! And I so love the tree - it's my goal to have a tree in every room one of these years....this year 4 rooms will have trees - 2 more rooms to go!

katie! i am so happy to see you back. and all the inspiration you pass around these parts! YOU were missed!
I am so, so, so glad you're back, in whatever form it is from here on out. I have to tell you that I found your blog at a really low-energy, low-creativity point a few months ago, and absolutely devoured your posts. Over the course of a few weeks during my son's naps, I would read all of your earnest, heartfelt, down-to-earth words, and look at all of your beautiful, fun photos. I found that a feeling of joy entered my little brain, and my creative juices began to flow! So thank you, for inspiring me and I'm sure many others! Craft on, fellow Mainer! :)
That's so great! I love Christmas, too, and think maybe I'll start things a little earlier next year. Usually I wait until the day after Thanksgiving, but I love my Christmas cd's and decorations and wrapping presents way too much to limit it to just one month! Your trees and gifts look GORGEOUS!
Katie, your gifts are beautiful...they might never get opened they look so pretty! Welcome back, you've already inspired me with your wonderful post. Merry Christmas!
I love the little tree in the bedroom!
I now am going to buy all the old music at our library book sale. Your packages are beautiful. Enjoy the last few days of waiting.
