Easy Christmas Decorating

It is my favorite time of year and I am so excited to have the house decorated.  I wanted to show you a few very easy things I have done that make our home feel extra cozy and festive.
This Advent calendar is the kids' favorite. I kind of dig it too.  It allows them count down the days until Christmas. Themselves. I am sure other parents can relate to this problem.
I made this super easy version last year using a 36 x 48 canvas, some gifts bags and numbers.  I glued everything on and added some clip on birds and mirrored garland.  We put three pieces of candy in each bag for the kids every day.
I will include a list of sources at the bottom of the post.

I love these disco ball ornaments.  We have them everywhere.  When the sun shines on them just right, it is magic.  The pictures don't do them justice, you have to get some and see for yourself.
Instead of buying a tree skirt, I just pick up three yards of fabric, and cover the tree stand with it.  These past few years we have had fur, but the options are endless.  Flannel, something shimmery, burlap.
I have more fun stuff to share in the coming weeks.  I hope you will come back for more!

Oh! I love all these ideas! I'm so glad you blogged about the disco ball ornaments. I had forgotten about them, but they are truly magical. I'm going to look for some this week. Have you seen any this year?

I always have luck at Big Lots too! They just don't sell them on line.

yep. I always love DIY. Hoping I have more free time to make some decorations for the Christmas this year, or some Christmas gift for my guys too. Thank you for writing this post
